BOTOX injections are approved by the FDA to treat adults at least 18 years old who have been diagnosed with chronic migraines. It’s been proven to be a safe and effective method of treatment for patients that frequently deal with excruciating headaches. We also address migraines, chronic headaches and chronic facial pain with the new SphenoCath treatment at our endovascular center in Peoria, Arizona.

Migraine Treatment

Migraines occur when certain triggers produce neurotransmitters in nerve cells, producing pain and other debilitating symptoms. In order to treat chronic headaches and migraines, we use botox to reduce muscle contractions and block pain-transmitting chemicals. Sphenocath is a new alternative treatment that takes about 10 minutes to deliver an anesthetic block to the pain center in the sinuses behind the nose. It involves no needles and is done as an outpatient procedure.
