What to Expect During Uterine Fibroids Treatment

Planning on scheduling an evaluation for UFE at our Vascular Center in Peoria, Arizona? Prior to your initial
consultation or appointment, we ask that you allocate all imaging files and medical records that are relevant to your fibroid condition. Upon arrival, you can expect a detailed review of your medical history in addition to a thorough physical exam. If imaging has not been obtained, a pelvic ultrasound or an MRI will be ordered to fully assess the size, number and location of the fibroids. On the subsequent visit, important imaging findings will be reviewed with each patient and the UFE procedure will be discussed in detail. If you end up deciding that UFE is right for you, we’ll go ahead and schedule the procedure at our endovascular surgical center at a later date that’s convenient for you.
